Early signs of life (Cynanobacteria). This early life form was able to photosynthesize. They grew in shallow seas and formed pillow like structures which have fossilized. The best stromatolites can be found in Australia ( about 3400 million years old) but there are stromatolite fossils in Finland (Ahvenanmaa) too.
